The 2013 Ram 1500 has been named Motor Trend’s 2013 Truck of the Year. “Our judges were won over by the performance of Ram 1500’s broad array of standard and optional equipment,” Edward Loh, editor-in-chief of Motor Trend, said. “It’s a truck that can be tailored to meet most anyone’s needs.”The Ram 1500 has been given this honour because of its outstanding air suspension, choice of engines, variety of trim levels and towing capability.

Vehicles compete in the Motor Trend Truck of the Year are tested on six criteria: design advancement, engineering excellence, efficiency, safety, value and performance of intended function. To qualify, a Truck must be all-new or has been exceptionally changed from the previous model.
Not only did the 2013 Ram 1500 get some changes, it has changed from the inside-out. For 2013 it offers buyers best-in-class 25 mpg fuel efficiency, new technology and new features without compromising capability. It also has brought its A-game with engine options that are pioneer the truck industry: 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine or Pentastar V-6.
The 2013 Ram 1500 has first-in-segment technologies such as an eight-speed automatic transmission, stop-start system, thermal management system, pulse-width modulation and active aerodynamics, including grille shutters and active air suspension. The 2013 Ram 1500 is provided in nine models and starts pricing at $23,585 including the $995 destination charge.
