The SRT lineup with Chrysler Canada is holding its own in the Motorsports World. Here are a few races over this summer where the machines ripped around their respected tracks.
Dominik Farnbacher and Marc Goossens drove the No. 91 SRT Viper GTS-R to victory in the GT Class Sunday at Road America, the first factory-backed American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patron win for the Viper since 2000. The two SRT Viper GTS-Rs were from Riley Technologies. “The speed was there with both cars. The 93 was on the pole. Both cars led laps. The SRT Motorsports team did a great job on pit road and our drivers were superb in the cars. It was a great job by everyone involved – great strategy and execution,” said Bill Riley, Vice President and Chief Engineer, Riley Technologies.
Timer Timerzyanov led Pastrana Racing with a fifth-place finish in the Global Rallycross event Saturday night at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Behind the wheel of the No. 199 Red Bull/Discount Tire Dodge Dart, Timerzyanov, a native of the Russian Republic of Kazan, Tatarstan, claimed his best finish of the 2013 Global Rallycross season subbing in for primary driver Travis Pastrana.
In its best combined performance since returning to the American Le Mans Series, SRT Motorsports claimed two podium finishes Sunday in the Mobil 1 SportsCar Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park.
