Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pak | New Performance Unveiled

Development and Launch
On June 26th, 2015, the Mopar brand revealed the next-generation Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pak, a package car that is factory-prepped for drag racing. The vehicle was revealed at the FCA US LLC Chelsea Proving Grounds and is built on the Dodge Challenger platform. Through the course of nearly a year, developers have worked on the Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pak. In 2014, at the 60th NHRU U.S. Nationals, a prototype was first revealed to gain feedback from NHRA Sportsman racers to be able to perfect the design and bring the most to the table as the Drag Pak could. Mopar Motorsports Marketing Manager, Dale Aldo states that he is “extremely pleased” with the result of this testing and that he is confident that once the car gets on the track it will be “ a clear winner”. Buyers can order the Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pak beginning July 23 through Dodge dealerships.The Mopar Block Party kicks off the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals and will be held in downtown Golden, Colorado.
The Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pak comes with a choice of a 354-cubic-inch supercharged Gen III HEMI engine or a naturally aspirated 426-cubic-inch Gen III HEMI. It holds the latest racing technology along with innovative upgrades and improvements, including an integration of unique heritage design cues. Each engine carries its own unique performance profile and graphic identification package, while the front suspension features a Mopar K-Member and suspension geometry with double adjustable compression and rebound struts for unbeatable performance levels.
While impressing from every angle under the hood, the Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pak is also stunning in its design. Featuring a redesigned full roll cage and a front and rear fascia trim, the look is fresh and clean. The 15-inch lightweight wheels display the Mopar logo and sport front tires that measure 28 inches in diameter. Wrapped up together with a smooth exterior frame and a user-friendly hood, this vehicle looks as good as it races. The interior reflects that of the Dodge Challenger with the addition of a Mopar gauge pack and lightweight racing seats. For safety measures, a safety net and five-point harness have also been included.
Pietro Gorlier, the President and CEO of the Mopar Brand Service, announces that with the unveiling of the Mopar Dodge Challenger Drag Pak they are writing “the next page in [their] performance playbook”, and that they can offer “for the first time, a supercharged engine that provides [their] racers [with] more options”.
