Chrysler Group Leaders Receive Multiple Awards at Annual Event


Several women business leaders with Chrysler Group received recognition at the annual Women of Colour Conference held in Detroit, Michigan, USA on October 23-25. It was the 17th annual event and is the only celebration of its kind to honour the achievements of multicultural women in technology.

Chrysler Group is dedicated to developing its diverse workforce and has been recognized with several major honours in the past. This includes Black Engineer of the Year, Women of Colour and many others. The Women of Colour Conference is dedicated to making the achievements made by these women visible to the community at large.


Special Recognition Awards went to Anna Yang Shu and Angela Zielinski for their accomplishments and their example to women who want to move past what has been considered traditional roles for women. In addition, eight other women from Chrysler Group were honoured with the Technology Rising Stars award to recognize them as women who are shaping the future of technology.

Chrysler Group has a longstanding history of dedication to initiatives that recruit and educate minorities. The company sponsors Great Minds in STEM which is an organization that focuses on providing scholarships to Hispanic students.

The awards given at the Women of Colour Conference to Chrysler Group employees demonstrates the commitment the company has of creating and sustaining a diverse workforce. Chrysler also gives them the tools they need to succeed.
